Aphine

Aphine by Jodie Eden Law

My dear and artful, withering Aphine

I have loved you into trenches of my cor

And into the depths of the saltiest deep

My mind is confused

My soul is battered

My heart is bruised and sore

Trust lays in shards between us

And our tongues now hold a grudge

Our love now a hypothetical token

Of this hyperbolic wayward judge

Through the years of tumultuous times

I prayed for a higher love

‘Twas not meant to be

In spite of my plea

My hopes on the wings of a dove

Look inward we must

There our intimate lessons

Found answers under sacred seal

Since we are here to evolve

Beyond our faults and our falls

Indeed… in time all will be revealed

Oh my dear, artful and withering Aphine

If our love was ever true

Hark the universe and It’s ethereal wisdom

Forever found in you
