the great road

Many people pass us by

On The Great Road By the sea

Some will stop to gaze the lands

Of the mighty Blue Gum Trees

Some will come to walk the tracks

That were trodden in the past

Some will come to ride the seas

The Southern winds at mast

Some will come to find their place

Custodians they will be

To honour all of Mother’s gifts

And respect her wilful plea

“Take Care of all these precious lands

And what I’ve left to thee

What you sow you will reap in folds

Be mindful of your greed.”

“Ive created these lands In rich and rare

Come and you will see

If you give you’ll want for nothing more

On this Great Road by the Sea.”
